I would really do that fuel pressure test. You may have a restricted return line. -

pretty good?
i hope by pretty good you mean brand new.... you should never re-use something as cheap and as important as injector o-rings...Leave a comment:

I'd run it as little as possible. I'd be afraid of washdown if it's that rich.Leave a comment:

I put some pretty good O-rings on my injectors
The plugs are black so it's definitely running rich (not Black with oil), my exhaust fumes smell TERRIBLE. it's so so so badLeave a comment:

Possibly. And exhaust leak upstream of the O2 sensor will give the sensor an odd mixture to analyze.
Is running rich enough to foul the plugs? Can you smell unspent fuel out of the tail pipe?Leave a comment:

I see everything except injector clean/reseal...sounds like they might be dribbling.Leave a comment:

No I have not, but between switching the old FPR with a brand new one, there was no difference in how the car ran.
my 173 isn't working with the stomp test..maybe it's because my car is an original 153? But I can't get the stomp test to work.Leave a comment:

have you checked the fuel pressure at the rail and return while the engine is running?
what check engine code(s) are you getting?Leave a comment:

E30 runs RICH AS HELL
And I don't know why. It's running retarded rich and I've tried basically everything I know. I literally feel sick standing behind my car it smells disgusting.
Things I've done:
New o2 sensor
new coolant temp sensor
new 173 DME (upgraded from the original 153...it doesn't give me a stomp code though)
New FPR
Adjusted TPS
Rewired the C191
New gaskets on every possible intake leak prone area
and I still get check engine light and terrible richness !
I know vac leaks would make my car run lean, but since I put new gaskets everywhere my idle has smoothed out quite a bit and I don't need to touch the pedal when it's cold.
Helllllllppppppp please!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate driving my car...I run out of gas immediately.Tags: None
