Was installing and removing coils while setting up m42/COP plate – then when I went to remove the coil with trimmed ear on it – the stem of it split off and remains in the head. Coils have ZERO run-time on them. I had even smeared a light coating of dielectric grease on the boots in effort to reduce the strain that would cause something like this. Ug.
Are they repairable? (can the two halves be put back together?)
Has anyone else experienced this?
Any tips for extracting coil stem/boot from head?
