    m42/COP - Split coil stem/boot help request

Was installing and removing coils while setting up m42/COP plate – then when I went to remove the coil with trimmed ear on it – the stem of it split off and remains in the head. Coils have ZERO run-time on them. I had even smeared a light coating of dielectric grease on the boots in effort to reduce the strain that would cause something like this. Ug.

Are they repairable? (can the two halves be put back together?)
    Has anyone else experienced this?
Any tips for extracting coil stem/boot from head?

Yup this has happened to me before, they can be put back together... should be able to pull it out gently after you put it back together... Also try taking off the plate if that fails.

I might try and sand down the boot so it slides in/out better.

        Thanks guys.
I put it back on - and it did run/idle fine.
Next week or two - I'll be replacing spark plugs. Will be seeing if I can maintain what's there. If I bugger up copper connection point - I'll hit Rob up for a replacement coil..
