Excessive Idling?

Is there anything wrong with lots and lots of idling? Like 2-4 hours of just sitting there.

Is there anything I could adjust to make my car run a bit cleaner (less stink) at idle?

watch your temp gauge. but to alleviate the cooling issue run your ac (aux) fan while youre idling to keep it cool.

why would you want your car to idle that long anyway?

My car doesn't overheat, I've done this at least 40-50 times already, I'm just wondering if anything bad and unseen is happening.

I leave it running because I play my stereo full blast (think "parking lot pimpin") and instead of starting it up every 15 minutes, I found out it's alot easier to just leave it running all night.

Only complaint I have is that my exhaust is noticable at times. I've seriously thought about swapping my whole exhaust system with my dad's eta, but that's going a bit too far.

I believe the manual states that you should not let your car idle for long periods..

You will have to chage the oil more often, as this will fall under "severe service" for any engine. Also use fuel injector/system cleaner more often, as you will most likely get premature carbon buildup, with this kind of use.
