Could this have anything to do with the exhaust (cat)?

Guys I need help... baddddd. I replaced the coil and I was getting a strong spark off the coil but the car wouldnt start. I put a plug in the end of a wire and grounded it. No spark!!!!! Tested the coil again and it lost its spark??? Why would it do this? Could this have anything to do with my ECU?
