I think I found my answer in another thread. Does anyone have a writeup on their procedure?

    Thanks

    Courtesy of Kris:

These are the following parts you'll need for the sunroof conversion:

    Black overhead panel (headliner)
    bracket for sunroof cable
    bracket for sunroof motor
    sunroof motor
    switch
    relay
    wiring harness

The difficult part is taking out the old bracket (from the crank) without cutting the headliner. If you do cut it, it will be covered by the black headliner piece, so it's not a big deal (just re-stitch it together).

I have a power sunroof but sometimes I wish it were a manual crank. While power is certainly nicer and more luxurious (whatever), it's not as smooth as it is in newer cars. That is, it just feels like it's going to break soon.

The crank sunroof is one of my favorite parts of the cars! one less electrical thing to go wrong! Plus it's friggin' hilarious opening/closing that thing. Everytime I do it I have to laugh. The girlfriend gets a kick out of it... it keeps her occupied :)

Your electric may feel like it will break soon, but my manual crank already did!:(
