Hey you know what you need? Try a left handed drill bit?

The Cobalt drill bit didn't seem to make a difference and I ran out of battery again. Not sure what to do next?? I could pull the front end off so I have room...

Same thing happen to me only it was two bolts in the thermostat housing. One of the easy outs broke also in one of the bolts. Took it to a shop and they took both out for $80.

Should I just push the car down the street to a shop and have them take it out then? Or just pull out the motor?

^Seriously I'm going to call a couple shops that are close by in the morning and see what they would do if I pushed my car down to their shop..

So the shop spent 2 hours trying to drill it out this morning and they couldn't get it and told me "Good Luck". So now my car is sitting in a machine shop waiting to see what happens tomorrow morning. Should be interesting, thankfully I was able to use a tow on AAA. I can't work without a car so this is really getting to me..

Fuck bro. I literally feel bad for you. I know what this shit is like. In the future maybe use a torque wrench??

Just dont get discouraged. Live and learn. Next time you'll know not to do that again and you'll be a better mechanic.

Yeah I have been kicking myself this whole time. I used a torque wrench and read ft instead of inches.. If they can't get it tomorrow, I'm gonna have to buy a new block. I can't afford one so it be interesting...

Well I got the bolt situation taken care of... The guy welded a bolt to it and cracked it out in a 1/2 hour this morning. I rented a tow dolly and borrowed a truck and then had problems getting it on the dolly by myself. The guy pushed the car on with a fork lift and it slip off the piece of wood and just barely hit my cam sprocket.. So Now I get to go to a pick your part in the morning tomorrow, But I should have my car up and running by tomorrow night!

I got everything installed and now it sounds like there might be something wrong with the cam... Heard some valve knocking in the one all the way up front (#1?) I opened everything back up and found metal shavings in a couple of places as well.. Neeedless to say no Bimmerfest for me this weekend. Looks like I may be pulling my head off...Literally.
