    I got rear ended

I was at a green light had not left yet (slippery gotta go slow) and WACKO. Rear ended. Estimate 826 Dollars.

She does not want to claim it. She's telling me to claim it on my insurance and let my rates go up.

    Sold it.

If you try and call your insurance they'll just tell you to contact hers because she's the one that hit you. Your insurance won't do a thing about it.

I went to the cops. They said that if its under 2g and everyones fine I don't have to report it. If she doesn't want to pay then I may have to go back to them.

The pics don't really do the misalignment justice I may go take more.

            Sold it.

As far as the insurance company will be concerned, if she REARENDED you it's HER fault. If you were at a green light and being cautious because of the weather conditions and she hit you from behind, it's her fault PERIOD!

Damn! I couldn't tell how fucked up it was from the front shots, but that view from the top really shows the damage.

Did you get her insurance information? If so, you can contact them yourself. If she is refusing to release the information to you, you can contact the police.

Ya the top shot shows the damage REALLY well. I belive I am going to go to the cops again since she does not to pay.

In a situation like this I can go to a body shop that I feel will do the most competent work correct?

                      Sold it.

It really depends on the insurance company. Sometimes they'll ask for three quotes and then give you the average. I'd definitely get goin on this... body shops are usually backed up.

They have decided that since I moved at the light (tires spun) the stopped (to get traction) its my fault I got rear ended. Therefor they told me to contact my insurance company.

                          I have. Drama begins...

If she had left a safe following distance she would not have hit you. It seems to me that the cops don't want to do the paperwork and are giving you a run-around. You should've waited for the cops to come....since u didn't do you have her information? Were there any witnesses who's information you have?

Contact your insurance co. pronto and see what they say. Good luck...

I got the cops to do some paperwork. They did as little as possible. Wankers.

I have her info, liscene plate, car, insurance, policy number, etc. I have contacted my insurance they are the ones who told me to return to the police. Basically its a lot of running around. Also since its insure/liscensed under my dads name and my dad is in Jamica till next tues that surley does not help.

I got 3 quoutes, 826,628,and 500. The service first for state farm is the 828 job. They are replacing that enitre rear pannel. The other places just wanted to pull the dent. Since the paint is gone and its bare metal rust has started already (yay for Candian winters).

                              Bah.

                              Sold it.
