    Window wont roll down

My passenger side window has been inoperative since I purchesed my car. I have pulled the door cover off and I have power at the connector to the motor. When I press the widow switch all I get is a single "click" from the motor. Is there anything else I can do before I replace the motor? BTW, the car has the early style window regulators. thanks

Just a click? You should be getting more than a click.

Replacing the regulator is easy. Two 10mm bolts holding the rear of the window to the track, undo those and tip the window out, then a handful of 10mm's holding the regulator in. Motor comes with the regulator - just gotta finagle the whole thing out. It's a big S - easy to figure out when you're in front of it.

These regulators go junk real easy - just replace it and see if that helps. They're cheap enough.

They're the late style TJ - so he'd have to make some modifications to make them work.

How about a link to that auction though, for someone who wants to do that modification? :)

Is it possible to do the late style modification without the glass? I really hate the way these early style windows arent smooth.
