So, it will just unlatch a little bit? It sounds like something might be stuck blocking the hinges... Do you have it full of stuff?

No I just have like a wrench and some wrachets in there so none of that's blocking anything. Any ideas what I could do?!

I assume you've already tried using a key in the lock in different ways?

Same problem. I'm gonna have to shred the trunk lock. Basically I can turn the cylinder all I want but its not connected to the lock mechanism.

You said it comes up a little bit, so is it unlocking and the latching mechanism letting go? Maybe the hook attached to the trunk is bent.. Does the truck come up enough so you can see it?

if the trunk is stuck, come through the ski-pass behind the back seat.

umm...the vert has no ski pass. :-)

See if you can make either an access hole with the vert hatch up and a long extension to remove the two 10mm bolts holding the lock in. If not. Then try from the outside. You can hammer the cylinder out. there is a snap ring holding the key cylinder at the back, in the housing. If this breaks loose you can most likely pull the cylinder out from the front and then you can access the pin which releases the lock. I believe it is to the right of the hole. it is a vert catch which you have to push forward.

I can walk you through how to unlock it IF you think the lock motor might still work.

I mean, obviously the central locking is not working or you would not be posting this, right? But, there is a chance that the lock motor itself IS working, and if you are willing to take out the central locking relay, you could jump the wires at the relay with a normal 12V battery.

I am not making any promises, but there is a good chance the lock actuator (motor) itself still works. This could get you in with zero damage.

                  Closing SOON!

                          Firstly,
                          You are a bastard. :hitler:

Secondly, i cut a hole where the licence plate goes. i can view the full lock mechanism working... yet nothing happens and it still wont open...

What to do is actually pretty easy.

Pull the central lock relay, the one under the left speaker. Look for the blue and white wires, those run all of the actuators.

Jumper from the red and brown (+12V and ground) to the blue and white. If you run them 1 way it will lock, the other way will unlock.

MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE MODULE FIRST!

Yes, it really is that simple.
