    Ya, usually the first oil change after I buy a used car is a fight with the filter. What the fuck? Its a rubber oring and its 60 psi oil pressure. How tight does it have to be?

      The world (even professional mechanics) have issues with over tightening filters. I will never understand.

        there's a mother fucker at my job that not only cranks the oil filter on too tight, but he really gets into it when it comes to the oil drain plug. I hope they fire his ass. And somehow he's a tech.

        On another note, make sure the rubber seal around the old filter didn't stick to the block. Especially if it's been sitting that long.

              yeah ive had to turn green and get angry a few times on oil filters.

              get yourself a bentley manual and search function helps too. Other than that welcome to the flame forums for noobs.
