    Cruise Control

Hey guys, my cruise control on my 325e has never worked and now that the car is in decent shape I'd like to figure out why. Is there any guide to troubleshooting your cruise control? Or any components that tend to go bad in these cars? Thanks guys.

How can I test the switch? I found two loose connections under the steering wheel and after reconnecting them I went for a drive but the cruise control still isn't working.

I started to try and read some methods that would fix my problem, I read about both the brake and clutch switch must both be aligned properly or else the cruise control won't work. I took a picture, is this the clutch switch and if it is how do I adjust it so it actually works?

The switch should be pressed when the clutch is out. Adjust it by turning it after you unplug it.

Okay, I have it adjusted so it is as far forward as possible and it still doesn't reach the clutch, does this mean that the metal racket that holds it in place was bent somehow and needs to be bent forward again?

I dont get how the switch is in its changed state with the clutch out???? So when you press it in it won't change thus it would be useless.

Hey guys, I fixed the problem. It turns out it was the switch not pressed against the clutch while it is disengaged. Somehow the metal bracket that holds the switch was bent backwards so I just had to adjust the clutch switch so it is fully forward, then I had to bend the bracket so that the switch would press against the clutch while it is disengaged. Thanks for all the help!
