    new valve cover gasket

    Im new here and im new to e30's. i just got myself a 325es. i already changed the timing belt, water pump, and put a bunch of new hoses in, next is the valve cover gasket. Any tips to someone new to this?? thanks!:D

    There are 4 plugs, 2 at each end of the cylinder head. You should replace these when you do the valve cover gasket. There is a pattern to tighten the bolts down. Other than that, it is way easier than everything else you have already done.

      ok thanks it seems simple from what ive been reading, ill definitely look into the cylinder head plugs, is there a proper name for them?

        Rocker shaft plugs is the official name I believe.

        You should also do a valve adjustment at the same time.
