Oil in Throttle Body and Air Boot..

    Fellow Enthusiasts:

Diagnosing a vacuum leak, I pulled the Air Boot and noticed some oil in there. I also saw some inside the throttle body. Cleaned the throttle body up, etc...

This all started as I was noticing some coolant coming up from on top of the water housing gasket on the throttle body. Needless to say, I busted 2 of the 3 HEX screws on the throttle body so I might get a new one..

What can cause this oil in the Air Boot? I checked the MAF route and it looks good, pulled the box and no oil on the filter..

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

Same thing happened to me. Vacuum leak from the intake gasket. They were cracked. Found oil in both boot and throttle body. Don't know where it came from either.
I did discover the PCV pipe needed new O-rings and the washer (bottom) was non-existent. So maybe that's why i got some oil leaked into into the intake.

    It's 9 & 10

Exactly!.. I removed that after I removed the throttle housing and it was all gooked up, dry and almost cracking. Only 8 bucks at pelican.. ordering that..

        Thanks so far!
