I listened to my main fuel pump and it was whining like a crazy person but i dont really want to say this because i know im going to get the "oh its your FP change that next" I dont want to if i dont have to.......

Any other ideas? i was told check my battery connections they are tight but maybe ill disconnect and reconnect.

    Its like this

    1st gear- revs up nice
2nd- starts pulling slight skipping from hesitation
    3rd- again
    4th- fine after 2.5k
    5th-not really used

so anything under 2.5k its like either cutting out or it cuts out and its just blahhhh.
That doesn't sound like a fuel issue. A worn pump, clogged filter, or dirty injectors should get worse at higher engine speed where more fuel flow is needed. I suppose a bad FPR that is causing very high rail pressures (and thus excessive fuel) could cause a problem at low engine speeds, but then the idle would be really bad.

An ignition system problem is a possibility, but I think the highest probability is a bad AFM, a bad DME, possibly aggravated by intake leaks.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Recently replaced intake bellows and hose to icv. No leaks, i was told cap and rotor but then you would assume constant issue. Im now thinking Coolant temp sensor. the plug had gone on me before now to fix the actual sensor

So i figured some things out....My coolant temp sensor was giving me trouble a while back and recently i found a thread that names the sensors on the thermostat housing from the back (fuel Rail) to the front (largest sensor)

1- Coolant temp sensor, used by DME for fuel mixture table lookup, and on Motronic 1.1 idle speed control. On Motronic 1.0, this signal is instead split to the Idle control module for the same purpose.

2- Coolant temp sender, for your instrument cluster

3- Coolant temp switch, used for cold start valve on Motronic 1.0, provides path to ground for valve (when conditions are met), which is fed 12v when cranking.

4- Coolant temp switch, additional input to Idle control module for cold (32degF) starting. Applicable to Motronic 1.0

IM DEFINITELY THINKING COOLANT TEMP SENSOR!

PROBLEM FIXED!!!! I changed the sensor and ran some lucas fuel system cleaner through the tank....it worked and she runs so beautifully again!

              Which sensor? 02 or coolant?

Good to hear all fixed up.

Coolant, And i had a slight issue this morning with her. But it sputtered and i dropped a gear and hit it hard to clear it out. MINT again! :]....Probably have dirty injectors and the injector cleaner fixed it and not the sensor :P either way im happy

This was happening with me with the 02 sensor. I wish I saw this thread earlier, I would have pointed you in that direction.
