    anyone recognize this bolt

so I'm finally in the process of putting everything together fro my major overhaul and I have this bolt I can't figure out where it goes. I think only one of them is used, but I can tbe certain, I had another e30 that the other one must have come off if only one is used.

    measures:

m12 size x 1.5 thread pitch about 3.75 inches long - 19mm socket for both head and nut
    1991 318is m42.

    anyone shed some light?

do you know what size?? if its a 17mm and you have more I'd say its the bolts at the out-put flange to the guibo/ D-S... if not and you only have two I'd adgree w/ jrobie79 and say trailing arm bolts

Kind of look like the bolts that hold on the ps and ac brackets, but I don't know what you've been wrenching on.

i havent taken the PS or AC pumps/compressors off, I was doing a clutch job and complete rear suspension/hard brake line/diff refurb, also welded some patches in the floor, and changed upper and lower oil pan gaskets, changed the oil filter housing gasket/oring...nothing major engine related

I'm guessing trailing arm as well. If I can remember to i'll measure one for ya.

If it's 15mm they could be for the steering rack

its not 15mm, I havent done any work on the steering rack -- the measurements are 19mm, its a m12 x 1.5 thread pitch
