    M10 Help?

I know it sounds stupid (M10), but a friend of mine said he could make it run. He loves 2002's and even has a tatoo of one on his arm. He claimed he could get rid of all of the electronic stuff and put two weber carbs on it like his 2002 engine. I trust him because he has had his shop for ten years now. Anybody ever tried this before? Thanks

I can“t see a reason not to let him mess with your engine

please report back with the results

When I got my 85 318i it barely ran. The fuel system was full of rust, so instead of replacing all of the injection components I found a 2 barrel downdraft manifold and a weber 38/38 dgv carb. It is a very very simple setup. just remove the fuel injection pump and install one for a carburetor. use the same wires that go to the injection pump. the rest is simple bolt on you may not even have to change the throttle cable (I didnt). In then end I had a Lynx manifold with a mikuni 44 PHH which was a badass setup for an m10. The dual weber setup will be even better but gas milage will decrease.

If your friend knows as much as you say he does then let him do it you will love that setup on an m10. If i could get my hands on a triple sidedraft setup for my m20 I would run carbs on it too.

so light and simple (with carbs that is...)

you do not have injectors with a carb setup. no electronics with a carborator...

Two sidedraft carbs would be badass, go for it. Im a 2002 guy too. I love em, but mine are projects and I dont have a lot of time to work on them, so theyre basically sitting :(
