The 63L tank will fit in your car, but there are complications. Along with the tank you will need the filter bracket and the left side cover plate. You will also need to grab the left side fuel level sensor connector and few feet of the wiring. You may also need to buy a new pump for the tank.
You will have to cut out the blank section on the left side under the rear seat where the second fuel level sensor is. And you will have to splice in the level sensor connector for that side. The sensors are wired in series. The gauge in the cluster will work, but it won't read correctly unless you swap it out for one meant to be used with the later tank.
The fuel routing is a bit different. Right now returning fuel goes across the to of the tank to a fitting on the pump. And there is a large diameter hose that runs from the in-tank pump to the high pressure pump. The larger tank has the return fitting on the left end of the tank and the in-tank pump is the high pressure pump and fuel flows from the pump directly to the filter. You will need to cap off the wiring for the old high pressure pump. You have to use the filter bracket from the later tank and remove the old pump and filter brackets.
Not exactly a simple operation, but it can be done.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
