I'm pretty sure seeing my car towed on a trailer through town enough times deters people away from mine, haha. I wouldn't want to steal a POS that I see being towed all the time, but that's just me, if I were a car thief, but I'm not.

if only theives knew what about the amount of bullshit and nightmares E30 owners go through when things break and go wrong. i d bet they would wouldnt even think of trying to jack an e30. but the reality is , E30s are just too cool with the old school!:p

For sure, the POS angle goes a long way. I bought a mostly clean car to build because nobody thinks the rough around the edges beater has anything under the hood.

I used to have a swapped dodge daytona, nobody suspected the rusty shitbox with the peeling tint... wheels/tires and lowered suspension are even almost ubitquous now so even that's not a red flag. I love it.

It's really easy. You just wire the start signal switch to a relay that gets it's energize signal through the various things you want running. 10 bucks of a relay and some wiring with a couple diodes. Done.
