    wheel hub/bearing nut question..

Anyone know if the front hub nuts can be used on the rear? I have a set for a 325i (I ordered them for an ix but everyone has the wrong part!), and I know they are both 32mm. but are the threads the same? I think the lockplates are the same.

Also, who had the DIY guide on rear wheel bearings? I think it was charlie. Something about using the wheel as a sort of slide hammer?

I dont know if the sizes are the same, but I cant comment on using the wheel as a slide hammer. When we had to change my two front bearings, we tried that method and it didnt work AT ALL. We yanked on that thing like there was no tomorrow, and it owuldnt budge. It barely came off with a puller! I think for the rears there's some special tool you have to use. If I remember correctly, a lot of people on here (E3S) said they would never do the rears on their own, to take it to a dealer/shop. HTH
