Does the lid still open? If so, just unlatch and lift the front, bring up the rear as far forward as possible, while holding the rear, reach inside and open the lid, then bring the top down manually into the compartment, close lid again. Opposite for putting the top up.

That's how I do it since my top is pretty much broken.

And it's getting to freezing weather here. Too cold to move the top without cracking. Good luck man.

Make sure your motors are disengaged first!

There is an opening in the "mouse fur" in the trunk by the passenger side trunk shock, on the boot storage area. Take the pin from the trunk tool kit, insert it in the socket and pull up to disengage the first motor. Now the top is free.

In the center of the boot storage area there is another hole. Same deal, but move the pin toward the drivers side. The lid is now free as well.

For the three truly vert specific questions per month that are asked? And to place them in a subforum that no one will look at instead of general technical that everybody looks at, vert owner or not?

              Yea... no thanks.

thanks everyone for the answer... since i don't have the manual, i didn't know how to disengage the motor. I did it this weekend and it works! I really want to make it work properly again... i know it's expensive, but i think it'll worth a look.

here is a couple image with the top down... It was a really sunny day last saturday.

But yeah I agree we need a vert section. I just bought a 92 325ic and the power top doesn't work. And I have no idea where to start tackling the problem
