Hi all, bare with me on this. this is my second e30 but this time its an m42. My problem with the car right now is when i turn the a/c on. the temp needle goes up. as i adjust the a/c higher the temp needle will even go up(hotter). another thing is when i push up/down on my window button the the needle on both gas and temp gauges flickers. Anyone can help me on this? Thanks in advance.

i have the same problem with the gas and temp flickering when i push the windows down...i was told it has to do with the wiring/grounds....it all started when i swapped another engine....so i suggest cleaning your ground cables making sure theres no moisture on them..as for the temp i have no clue but check your temp sensors? radiator sensor?

as for the overheating...make sure your fan clutch is engaging....id say its your fan clutchComment

Pretty sure Blunt was talking about the grounds on the gauges themselves on the backside of the cluster.Comment
