manual to auto/24v swap - clutch question

doing a engine and auto to manual swap

Is the car supposed to turn over with your foot off the clutch? or is its purpose only for cruise control deactivation. I removed the auto relay harness and added a clutch switch.

car will still crank with my foot off the pedal. My old wrx needed the clutch down for the motor to crank.

yes, e30s don't need the clutch to crank. these are man cars... :p

Thanks for the response. I thought I wired it wrong!

At first I was offended by your comment then I realized what it was like when I sold it 3 years ago (full kit, huge front mount intercooler, Sti wing, loud blow off valve and crazy lound exhause etc, and realized you were right. Haha
