naw all fuel system components were done before the initial dyno including cleaned fuel rail and etc. it was all done at once, stock baseline has M50 injectors, both fuel pumps were replaced along with fuel rail. the rest of hte car was running like crap but fuel system was good.

I bought a high performance 1600CFM 14" puller fan off ebay (similar to SPAL) but i don't like the SPAL design b/c it uses straight fan blades (VERY loud, sounds like a damn airplane propeller). I got the 1600CFM curved blade fan off ebay for $27.95 (under my $50 budget :) ). I want to install it very soon b/c both my stock fans are dead so this will really help the car out. I plan on pulling both stock fans out b/c its pointless to have them in there and the one aftermarket 1600CFM 14" puller fan will be more than enough to keep the car cool. That should be here in a few business days. Then right after spring break i tackle the SAFC2 + E36 MAF project.

This point has confused me throughout this entire thread and I haven't seen an answer to my doubts so here I go with my question...

This is an 89 325i right? There is only one fuel pump so what the fuck are you talking about with 2 fuel pumps?, you've mentioned it more than once.

...or did you add another pump for sum sweeet pwr increazzes.

            *ahem*

I made roughly 160 crank HP on a stock engine on a half dead fuel pump, clogged fuel filter and etc. I already replaced all those items. can't wait to see the car dyno more than most of these guys who put thousands into their cars. its kinda sad actually. I think people are getting angry b/c they feel threatened that i may prove all that money they spent was a waste.

Why do you continue to ignore requests for pics of your E55 and your Lotus?

He has a Lotus now, too? He should have posted up pics of his M3 when it was for sale.

And it's probably been mentioned already, but only the '87i had 2 fuel pumps, AFAIK...

So all told...how much have you spent on your car thusfar, including installation and shipping on everything? Where's the running total?

That's why thing whole thing is a farce. The mods he's done which might have any impact on performance (exhaust, manifold, Engine Management, suspension etc) at all have all been covered by his 'this is the exception to the $50 rule...' .

The only 'mods' he's done which are $50 or less are all the stupid stuff like a can of spray paint or an ebay steering wheel. None of which are going to make this car any faster even if it was in good tune.

I'm all for saving a few dollars here and there, but I don't see how this car is a 'budget beater' at all.

You know, this is what I said on about the 6th post of this thread, and everyone called me an asshole.

Exactly. I bet I could have a nice suspension setup and a more powerful engine for less than he's spent/planning to spend.

OK to clarify, I stated word for word that "I sold my E36 M3 to GET (future tense) E55 AMG (in may)" I currently have another mercedes I drive, its a W140 body style S320 with mods as well. Lotus was a peice of trash, i drove one, not impressed at all, and those things are about to depreciate like a rock ones the new Lotus Esprit successor comes out. i NEVER said I already had one, Rob misunderstood what I said. People need to learn to read better on this forum. i swear.

All fuel components have been replace before that dyno was taken. I am gonna try some seafoam tomorrow see if that helps even more cuz idle is alittle rough (even after cleaning ICV).
