    coolant level sensor

    hey guys, my coolant level check panal light won't go out. level is ok. how do these sensors opporate? took it out and cleaned it up as best i could but still the check light comes on. really dont wana spend the 28 bucks plus shipping for a new 1 if there is an easier fix.

    the coolant level sensor itself is bad. it's what the wires connect to on your coolant reservoir. they always go bad. i believe the part is $10 from bmw.
    AWD > RWD

      thanks man, i was just wondering if cleaning or any other quick fixes would work.

        I used a fine sand paper to clean mine and it worked.
