White is not good! Why do people upgrade the injectors??? they are such a waste of money! These cars run rich top end anyway so why bother? :(

the car runs fine now, the idle is a little rough but so far im blaming it on there not being a seal between my new 25mm MC and the brake booster

better because they are bigger. Not because he needed them. Or because they will actually help the car. Actually, they are better because it hurts the car.

same logic with 25mm MC as well.....

unfortunately, Andrew, you're correct. We are all our own best judges, for better or worse.

the m42 will idle rough if you have any holes in your or blown gaskets in your exhaust... don't ask me how i know

You have an M30 AFM and bigger injectors too, why are you dogging on him?

i may not know better then all the people on this board but it is my car and i can do what i want. Once i get a gasket between the MC and brake booster i will see if it still idles a little funny. if it does i will look next at the afm which i left outside to dry after cleaning the cosmoline off, and later it rained on

I just dont see how upgrading the Injectors will yield any more power? Have you had the car on a rolling road? or Do you have a O2 sensor attached which shows that its leaning out top end?

IF not then its hit and miss, your new injectors might have a different spray angle which when out of spec can strip the oil from the valves or worse the side walls of the combustion chamber (bore wash) which if left to go on will cause premature wear to the engine!

I think the best money spent on such an old engine is taking it to bits and replacing all gaskets, fluids and cleaning out the inlet system. Then you are looking at Cams and head work, but thats as far as i would like to take it with this engine, its just not designed to produce high power!

Rob i think it would be different if people were to listen and take advice.

                                Andrew
