        Sorry i was testing all day today and i just have to finish tomorrow but ill post the fuse list and everything for sure on friday. PM if you want specific ones posted.

          i look forward to this list. so i guess noone has any other places to check? its been raining since i started this so i havn't been able to check as the garadge has the 56 belair that me and my brother are restoring in it... so i have to wait for sunshine.

            A lot of vehicles have what are called "fuseable links" . The power wires coming from the alternator have a "link"that will short out, in order to save the diods on the alternator. from exactly what you did.
            Usualy the wire has a little black plastic piece on it.
            I would look for a bad wire. that shorted,even if it is not a fuseable link.
            A bad fuseable link needs to be replaced with a new fuseable link.

              yeah, except everything else works, is there a seperate power wire off the power block under the hood for the abs? ill go through it today and look for fusable links... thanks.

                Sorry, havent checked this thread in a while. Anyway, Im not sure which fuse its on or if its on the same circuit but i can check tomorrow if you need to know this still. And yeah, that is an M-Tech II valence on my car.
