    My trunk is stuck...open.

    I opened my trunk this morning to get some stuff out & then it wouldn't close & latch. It'd close completely, but the latch wouldn't catch. The like an idiot & started fucking with the latch mechanism and accidentally closed the "double lock" which also will not reopen now. It looks like this;

    No combination of key turning thus far has made anything change, so I pulled the bulb from my trunk light so it doesn't kill my battery & the trunk is being held closed by a bungee to keep out the snow. Weaksauce. Somebody want to help me get my truck latch back to functional?

    Have you tried to hook the lock lever and pull up as you turn the key? The release spring may be inoperative, or stuck.

      Double lock? As in central locking? Go to your door and undo the double lock.

          trunk lock has a lock out feature independent of the double lock feature. So even though you lock the car and open the car you can still keep the trunk locked. I think this is what he means.

          take the inner panel out. get a screw driver in there and open from there. You can remove the lock by removing the two 10mm bolts holding the body.
          Take it out and inspect, lube and repair if necessary or change the mech all together if it is faulty.

                Take the molding off and actuate the plunger to release the lock.

                Kinda like this.

                    that happened to me. i had to remove it, grease it, and reinstall it.

                    i dont think it too me more than 30 minutes. i did accidentally break the connector to central locking though. :( which was pointless, you dont need to even touch it.
