Exhaust heat shield?

So have any of you removed the heatshield? If so have you ran into any issues? And how long have you had it off?

Removing number 1 is what I'm considering.

The rear half is rusted so sags a little. I'm not running stock exhaust either

it also protects the driveshaft from dirt/debris

I'd leave it, but that's just me. it doesn't weigh much either.

Been running without mine, on track, for a couple years with no problems. Gave it to a buddy to make into an art piece.
