BMW 325iC Manual Transmission fluid, Just need to know what

Ok my Transmission died on the way home from the damn wrecking yard with my new tranny. Since I'm putting it in tomorrow morning I wanted to know what kinda of fluid I can put in it besides Redline I was considering That 80w90 gear oil or maybe 20-40 SAE engine oil. I'm not sure and if the oil is cool are there any pros and cons to using a thicker oil?

Why not Redline MTL or GL5 or whatever the rating is for the good ol tranny oil?

just use Red Line MTL that has been tested over and over, and nothing can compare. that fluid just works really well in bmw transmissions.

      trust me
