Need Lock nuts for tie rod and cont. arm

I have looked at all my local fastener stores, online, and even Home Depot and cannot find (2) M10 - 1.25 & (2) M12 1.50 lock nuts so I can reinstall my front suspension. Anyone have a clue? It was to late for me to call BavAuto. But I looked throught their catalog and only found new control arm and tie rods.

Home depot definitely won't have them. Call the dealer, they should have them. I found them at a local auto parts place.

Didn't think to check the auto parts place or the dealer. Thanks

They're a pretty uncommon thread-pitch for the size of the nut, hence why you're having a hard time locating some. A friend here just picked some up at the dealer locally, so maybe they're available down there.

tie rod lock nuts are m10x1 not 1.25 i just replaced one of mine. 07 12 9 922 436 this is the dealer part number from the ETK. try some auto stores or the dealer.

Also there are two different lock nuts on the control arm m14x1.5 and the m12x1.5

          m14 31 12 1 095 420
          m12 32 21 095 267

          hope this helps,
          Steven

Thanks, I would have beat them with a softer hammer if I knew they were this hard to find.

Nothing at Napa, Pep Boys, or Advanced Auto Parts. Closest I came was at Napa but both bolts were out of stock and they said they couldn't order more?

So I'm off to the dealer tomorrow.

You can reuse the old ones.

Thanks, its a work in progress.

As far as using the bolts again, They dont work the same after you beat them with a metal hammer to ge the tie-rod and control arm. I tried to save them but a plastic mattel wouldn't cut it. Plus they are 20 yr old nylon nuts. Not the best idea for a "track" car.
