    No heat

The fan does not work in any position (1-4), regardless if it is on heat/AC. I am assuming it is the blower motor - is this the culprit?

blower fan resistor -responsible for fan speed located below the blower motor. slip your hand under the motor and pull up-slides out. install new one about 20-30 bucks - make sure it is a 4 speed resistor and not a 3.

I've read that the resistor is the fix only if the fan works in position 4, however, my fan does not work in any position. Is it still the resistor?

A dead resistor will still allow the fan to operate at full speed since that is just a short to power.

I am curious, are your AC/recirc buttons lighting up or are they dead too? Have you checked the fuse?

Since the fan doesn't work at any speed, it won't be the resistor. A blown fuse, bad fan switch, bad unloader relay, or burned out fan motor are what you should be looking for.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

It was a bad fuse - I appreciate the help! I ended up replacing several other fuses and got my interior lights working again :)

The heat finally works, however the fan makes a loud noise in positions 3 and 4 - could it be the blower fan?

Mine was like this. I took it out, cleaned the brushes, sprayed the bitch out with brake cleaner, reassembled, replaced the 30A fuse and its been working fine.

Yes, it is bad. The extra stress of bad bearings or just filth in the bushings is why the fuse blew.

                Thus:

maybe do a little lubrication with a drop or two of sewing machine oil too.

I thought of that but I didn't want to use anything conductive near the brushes.
