    Any good write ups or articles or tips from r3v? For an 88 with db's.

    R&R?

    you're going to need a spot weld drill bit (you can get one from harbor freight), a welder, and frame alignment tools (or yardsticks and skill).

      Yes, R&R. I restore vintage European cars but havent done anything on a car newer than 1956. Just looking for info to see if its something I want to do or not.

        it can be done for sure, the only snag is it's welded in and not bolt in like the E36 and later. I had mine done by a shop.

          That's what I figured. I would love to have a shop do it, but these are e30's, and I'm not sure that is worth the money to do so.
