It doesn't work because the car thinks you are in neutral when you are driving, since you had to jump the wires to start the car. You have a couple options. Installing the switch on the clutch pedal is the best way (non-ghetto way) to do it, but I don't know whats involved in doing that.
Your other option is to install a switch inline with the wires that you jumped to start the car. You'd keep the switch flipped for normal use so the car always starts, but when you want to use the CC you can flip the switch the other way and it will make the ECU think the car is in gear. There is one serious problem with this: you must ALWAYS shut the CC off before doing anything like slowing down or changing gear. If you hit the brakes, I don't believe the CC is going to shut off automatically like it should. I know for sure that if you put the clutch in, the engine is going to continue to rev and shoot you right to the redline.
I'll ask david how he hooked up my CC after the swap. It works normally, no switches, nothing like that. It turns off when I hit the brakes or clutch, the only time it doesnt turn off is if I pull the car out of gear w/o using the clutch. I'll give him a call monday for ya.
