    Windows stopped working?!?

I successfully completed the transmission swap this past weekend and upon following the instructions on how to wire up the manual tranny to the auto wiring harness it working after a second try. The first time I originally had the wires from the reverse switch backwards (checked fuses - non are blown) after I switched them around the car started right up.

I did not, however, find the "red/white" wire referenced to in the 5 speed swap thread Marvin created. All I have left was a reddish brown wire.

The problem I have now is that NONE of the power windows work but the sun roof still does. Everything else in the car is fine. Is there a wire I missed or something I should have done with that reddish brown wire?

Check that your window lock switch isn't pressed down or that you have it plugged in. That will stop the windows from working.

You're absolutely right.. I had a replacement window breaker switch in the garage so I hooked it up and my windows came back to life.

      Thanks.
