LED back up light bulbs are not working?

I recently bought new 36-LED light bulbs for the back up light (Can't see behind me at night because of tinted windows). However, they don't work. I tried them in the brake lights and they work fine. Does anybody know why?

It doesn't matter the quality - it's the design. They just don't work in e30 housings.

      Cut down on glare? Lol.

Fuck LEDs. Every time I sit behind a car in traffic with LEDs, it irritates the SHIT out of my eyes.

If not LEDs, what type of bulbs should I get? I hate having to roll my windows down everytime I have to parallel park at night.
