I havn't replaced it yet, I'm going to get materials to run ducts to the front backing plates and want to do it all at once, I just ran out of time last weekend.

Jay, just a few mm increase in piston size will push a lot more fluid, giving the drastic seat of the pants difference in the pedal. That's a bit armchair though, I havn't even done the mod yet.

      E30 M3 = 23mm
      E30 325i = 22mm

      I swapped to 25mm

      1) You will NOT have better braking power
      2) It removes ~85% of pedal travel
      3) You will put yourself through the windshield for the first few stops after the swap

Overall, my impression was so/so. I like having less brake pedal travel, but it made inside/outside blips a bit more difficult.

I did not see any increase (rather decrease) in stopping distances.

        Chris,

One of my main problems has been serious pedal travel. Even with bleeding the system 2-3 times (15-18psi), I get a sponge pedal. The pedal also seems to have some play before the brakes activate...I wonder if this is related to the pedal-adjustment or something else.

I'm expecting a stiff pedal, I don't like having to move the pedal a lot to make braking adjustments on the track--so hopefully the V12 MC will suit my needs. I'm planning to run a 1" larger rotor and slightly larger pad in the future as well.

        Thanks for the tips Chris
