    2 dumb questions

    The first one is my hood pops whenever it's raining and a semi in the oncoming lane passes by, wtf? It's extremely annoying happened to me twice the other day on my way to school

    The second one is whenever it rains I get a little puddle of water on top of my plastic battery cover it's not much but I can't figure out where it's coming from it also happens in my brother in laws e30

    Let me know what you guys think

    The hood latch could be misadjusted, the mechanism or cable binding, or the hood could be misadjusted.

    Leaking trunk seal or leaking taillight seals can result in water in the battery area.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      hood can be adjusted by loosening and raising the latch near the front of the car left of drivers headlight area. if it is barely latching as it sounds like you will only need small adjustment.

      wipe down and dry any watet drops etc in your trunk.
      climb inside with a flash light.
      have brother in law spray down trunk area with a hose.
      locate your leak.
      have brother in law fix it for you.

        No, no, have his brother-in-law climb inside the trunk...it's better that way.
