How do I steal my own e30?

Ha! I'm not trying to steal any e30. However, a bit of drunken escapade at the bar the other night left me with an e30 that the ignition cylinder is frozen on and a broken rear quarter window. I just replaced the window and now I'm trying to replace the cylinder. Well, more accurately I'm just trying to get the old cylinder out first so I can unlock the steering wheel and at least move the car around (I had a friend tow it back to my house). The Bentley says to push in with a small screwdriver and turn...however I can't turn it. :???:

    Any suggestions?

Isn't it 13 steps? I thought the 13th was rinse with alcohol and repeat?

That's not going to help if the cylinder doesn't actually rotate.

Not a bad idea! I'll look into this tomorrow.

I can't say that I have any personal experience with unlocking/removing the cylinder, but you can easily pop the electrical part off the back of the cylinder and turn it with a screwdriver to start the car.
I don't always wreck cars, but when I do I wreck them into trees.

I've been able to steal my own car before. True story and I was able to unlock my wheel. Trade secret though. :P
