VDO tach in Motometer cluster??

I just bought an E30 M3 tach w/ oil temp guage. Shortly there after, I realized the M3 tach is VDO, and I have a Motometer cluster in my Touring. I don't really see why it would be a huge deal. I would still have to wire the oil temp gauge and sender separately anyway.

So, any input??

Do you want/need a motometer tach and oil temp gauge? I have a tach and mileage gauge in my spare cluster that is a motometer. I'd kinda like to have a VDO tach and oil temp guage as spares for my M3. Any interest in trading?

Nope, thanks. Keep an eye on the e3zone.net classifieds. It's rather active and there are always some nice deals and parts to be had.

it will work but motometer clusters don't have the knockout in the back plastic piece for the oil temp plug to stick out. you can make a cut yourself, but it would be easiest to find a vdo cluster in the junkyard and take that part to use on your own.
