    fuel and electric problem

    I have an 1989 325i my fuel pump isn't getting power I have checked the main relay and the fuel pump relay they are both good tested the pump it works fine. Is there a common issue with the electrical part as in the wiring or?? Plz help thanx

    in my car its the damn plug, i have to stick a block of foam to keep downward pressure on my plug...if i take the block of foam out...car dies

          If you jump the pins in the fuel pump relay socket (do the tests in the bentley) does the pump turn on? Have you tested your CPS?

            Wes I tested the relays main and pump can manually turn on fuel pump with relay buy even while doing that it doesn't get spark. Somebody suggested my timing belt might have worn the ribs off of the belt, thoughts on that? Or is it my motronic computer

              No spark and no fuel pump when cranking means:

              The DME isn't receiving timing data
              The DME isn't powered up or has a bad ground
              The DME isn't getting a Start signal
              The DME is bad
              The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

                  he means ecu, but I would check the resistance on your speed and reference (crankshaft position) sensor first. If its not getting that you won't get spark or injector pulse.
