    WTF Does this button do!?!

On the 4 door autos what does the stupid square button do right above the driver side windows switch. I've been through the manual three times and it doesn't mention a damn thing.

i think its the window circuit breaker (ie to turn off your windows) Sometimes its hard to make the button come up. You have to push hard in the middle of it.

The windows circuit breaker is the black/red button in the dash above the radio and is about the same size as the fog light switch.

I think one is for all windows and one is for strictly the back windows. aka child safety feature.

If that's true I could just splice the wires that go to the button together and use the switch to enable/disable my cruise control since I've swapped from an automatic right?

Don't do it, are you serisoley going to remember to press a button everytime youy hit the brakes, or the clutch pedal? all you need is a bracket and switch, the wiring is already in place.

                  What exactly do you mean?

I would think breaking would still work to turn the CC off.

Yes, but if you ever shift, you will overev the engine. You either have to press the switch or brake pedal everysingle time before you press the clutch pedal. Like I said the wiring is there for the clutch switch, from the factory on auto cars it has a plug looping the two wires together, the bracket bolts right to the side of the pedal box, super simple job. I wouldn't do it anyother way, as if you encounter a panic situation where you have to downshift quickly to get out of someones way.
