    Loose cruise control lever?

I searched a few boards and couldn't find anything about this. My cruise control works but the lever has so much play that when I press it up to resume it hits my wiper lever. How can I tighten this up as it's supposed to be stock?

Sounds broken to me. My directional did that right before it broke off completely.

there's one 1 screw holding the C/C switch to steering column.

as per non function C/C system, did you check the clutch pedal switch (if applicable) they do come loose too.

So maybe I just need to tighten that screw, eh?

its next to your clutch pedal swing arm below the steering column.

                  yeap, seen it many times.
only remove the steering wheel with a 22mm socket or a 4 way lug tool, then you'll have access to it.

Mine started getting loose a few years ago too. Like fporro said, take off the steering wheel, pop open the steering column cover and you can just tighten the screw(s). I haven't had a problem since.

It's easier than it sounds, trust me.......unless you have an airbag.

when i bought my e30 the CC stalk was dangling around, 1. i took off the steering wheel(2min) 2. then took off the steering column panels there(another 4min) 3. then saw the screw sitting in the panel, put it back on(1min). repeat steps 1 and 2.......soo simple.
