hex cap screw: M10x50 (1.5 thread pitch...the standard size)
fender washer: 3/8" hole and a large diameter works best
    2 M10 1.5 pitch nuts
    3/4" rubber chair leg tip

thread the two nuts on, then then the washer. thread into existing hole to the desired height. tighten down first nut so washer is tight against the carpet. then lock it down w/ the 2nd nut. put rubber tip on. done

Man, I feel like an idiot. I bought one of those ebay clutch stop that's just a metric elevator bolt with a nut. I think I paid over $15.00 for it. I don't know why I didn't think to just make my own. I'm a jack ass.

Why get so hung up on whether or not it's metric? The 3/8 elevator bolt fits beautifully and is available at any Lowe's.

thankyou...gosh really guys who cares. Its cheaper than his mock-up one and its quite solid. A chair leg ruber thingy...hahaha...that has go to be solid. Mine can use the stock rubber piece from the clutch stop.
