clock and check unit control panel

I have a 91 318is and it does not have a check unit control panel, is the wiring there to just install one. Also my clock is broken and i was wondering will any of the clocks work, i found a e30 convertable in a junkyard and its clock had many more buttons. Just making sure that it will work if u get a diffrent clock.

You need a blank check panel. I might have one you can buy.

Wait...some late 318's came stock without check panels? i didn't know this. I always just thought my dad's was deleted.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Check control was a 6cyl car thing.

Well, pull the blank, and if there's a 20- odd pin connector with wires attached, you might
            just be in business.

But don't get your hopes up...
