    Window weatherstripping

I have an 87 325ic and I'm having a hard time finding the weatherstriping for the windows front and rear. I see the trim but I need the black rubber pieces that "wipe" the window and keep water out of the door. Mine are missing lots of chunks.

I've looked on pelican and bavauto and can't find em. Maybe i'm lookign in the wrong place. Where can i find these

Those would be the parts I replaced Saturday. It says "door" but they are for the rear window outer. It took me longer to clean & polish then to swap the parts.

So the pieces are the same for both the front and rear windows? Cut to fit for the rear?

No. The diagram and part descriptions are a bit misleading.

The 2 part numbers listed above as #9 (...751, 752) which match exactly the invoice in my hand, are for the rear outer window seals. They install as built. #12 goes in the track on the front edge of the rear window where it meets the door glass ( I replaced 1 of those) and the pieces we are talking about are pictured behind #12 (so rear glass). #7 goes inside the rear glass.

The piece that goes on the outer door is different. I dont see it on that diagram but another forum member gave me these part numbers for them. I did not replace those so double check if you decide to order them.

Nothing needs to be cut or modified.

Note..If you do a PN search on Pelican they do come up at full retail. I got mine discounted via FCP & when I called my local dealer to check stock on the deck lid seal they offered to match the 20% online discount quoted through getbmwparts.com (run by BMW of SilverSprings). It never hurts to ask.

Jeff, thanks for all of this info. All the window weatherstriping on my cabby needs to be replaced. This helps a lot.

The joy of forums is to learn from others misery..lol

If you change #12 it slides up from the bottom which requires that you remove the covering #10 in the attached diagram. Unfortunately the push pin in the centre of the rivet #11 winds up in the door pillar (ask me how i know).

I used a 1\2" piece of 12ga romex as a substitute and the copper dot adds a certain antique look, although Im the only one who ever sees it:loco:

Point being buy the rivets too
