After installing the 19lb 6900 rpm chip by mark d'sylva I'm having a high idle and fuel cut off at 3000 rpms. While in gear and attempting to drive it cuts fuel at 2000 rpms. There is also a CEL. Has this happened to anyone else before? I think I may have received the wrong chip..

Stomp test I assume is floor it and it cuts off fuel like I said at 3 grand in neutral and 2 grand while in gear driving. I already contacted him and awaiting another response. He is giving great service but I figured to check here too'01 e46 330ci blk/blk (GF stole from me)

No, stomp test is the means of asking the computer what it thinks is wrong.
Search this board, but the short version is, key on, 5 fast pedal jabs, then read
the Check Engine light flashes....
