How to disable an E30? So it can't get stolen.

I did a search and found nothing. So here is my question. I don't drive my e30 during the week, and it is parked outside on a major road. I don't have theft insurance because I just bought it and haven't had it appraised yet. And long story short I don't want it stolen and be left with nothing. So.....how would you disable it to the point that it doesn't take much to get it running again if you know what to do, but would be a real bitch if you were trying to steal it? I figured just unplugging the battery is too easy, I'm looking to make this car a thief's worst nightmare.

This summer I will put a switch on the fuel pump, but I am looking for quick temporary disable functions.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

OBC code function? Or remove the fuel pump fuse.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Thanks, now you will need an hour of diagnosis to get the thing started if you aren't me.
                  Great info.

I dont have the (13 key?) obc so I dont think thats an option on my car.

I've got a nifty little kill switch, that the previous owner had installed in the car.
I've tried to hot wire the bitch and nothing gets it to turn on., the lights and everything else works but once the thing is turned on, there's no way of getting away without spending at least an hour troubleshooting.

My old sunfire had that, I guess one of the POs installed it. It was in parallel to the rear defrost. There was a sequence too. You wouldnt make it more than 20ft if you stole it. When people borrowed it, I had to walk them through the startup process. Later I found a kill the kill switch switch where you could completely disable the antitheft sequence although that switch was hidden.

I want to do something similar.

Removable steering hub- chances are if they walk up to it, and see no steering wheel attatched they will keep walking.
Instead of smash your window, destroy your steering column, THEN realize it wont start.
