    Bosch Super-4 (WR78)?

I've heard people tell me that Bosch Super spark plugs are good in M20 engines but what about the Bosch Super-4 spark plugs?

    #2
Why, just buy the supers, they are cheaper.

Your talking about a 4 post non platinum plug? I dont think its worth it. I'm actually running denso plugs, work fine for me.

Yeah, looking at the Super+4 non platinums. Right now I have some el-cheapo Champion Copper plugs. Probably pick up some Bosch Supers this week.

              Guys,

I've heard several strong recommendations from M20 experts for the NGK ZGR5A. I would recommend them.

NGKs are not a bad plug. You can run anything you want as long as it's not platinum.

standard off the shelf, not the iriduim plugs. I dont know the number. I needed plugs and my autozone didnt have bosch. Only like 8 bucks for the set.

Using the gap they come set to or is it necessary to gap them?

Always helpful to check the gap, takes two seconds anyway.

Yeah, I always double check the gap too.
You never know if a plug got doinked somewhere along the way after it was pre-gapped.
I think Mr. Bink may be asking if the 'M20 experts' recommend running the stock gap with NGK's.

OE Bosch Supers are $0.99 @ Pep Boys and $1.09 @ Advance Auto, who also show the NGK ZGR5A for $1.98.

I would be extremely surprised if the M20 ran better on NGK's. . .probably worth twice the price only if they last twice as long as Supers. My opinion = if you can get OE plugs for $1 each, take 'em and run.

Let me rephrase, is the gap, that this NGK comes with correct for M20s? of course I would never put in a plug without checking, also what about it's having two conductors? Does that change the correct gap needed?

Yeah denso seams to be a decent plug for the money. I used to run NGK in my 2stroke motocross bike but switched to denso and they do last quite a bit longer. Bosch super 4’s sounds like a good plug for people running turbo setups, maybe they don’t foul as easy.
