I got them all off and almost all the studs are out except the one closest to the front. Its being a pain and I dont want to break it. I hit it with PB blaster. Is it ok to gently heat the head with the torch around the base of the stud to get it free?

Should be fine. Heat only the stud though not the head. That way you won't damage the head with the torch.

If you have room try the double nut trick (assuming there is still enough thread to work a nut on there). Run one nut down half way (reversed) and then run another one of the same size right behind it. Use 2 wrenches to tighten them against eachother and get a socket on there. Should back right out.

I'm sure you know this but this may benefit others... use steel nuts, not the copper ones since they are so soft ;)

So I will try this tomorrow. Once that is all set just prep the head for gaskets, install header, cat, and tail pipe. Right now Im stuck getting my drive shaft center bearing off before I put everything back together.
